Exceptional Wimbledon Town Living

By Carol Gream

Ever since the birth of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, the formerly quiet settlement which is known as Wimbledon village has been pitted onto the centre of the world stage, one time yearly as people world-wide congregate to celebrate their favourite tennis players' talents as they partake in the tournament.

The Wimbledon Tennis Championships are an important time of the year for the local residents of Wimbledon Village, with a mass of spectators coming together in the area to support their favourite players, as well as to see the other top of the line competitors. As a mass of celebrities pour into town, so do other, 'regular' people, also in large numbers. This is an excellent contribution to the success of local businesses.

As the tennis comes to a close each year, local businesses are left behind with wealth in their pockets. Furthermore, the local population are indulged as their property price naturally rises due to the sudden rise in value. Other industries, such as the tourism and public transport industries face a spike in business at around the same time. Public transport services collect their earnings from the mass of commuters coming and going from the area, whereas the tourism industry reaps the benefits as visitors to the area continue their tours of London.

Residents of Wimbledon are treated specially, with traditional cottages. The more expensive houses, standing tall and elegantly from atop Wimbledon hill are a marvellous sight, as well as quality designed housing. Most of the cottage lined streets are also scattered shops and attractions. It's always easy to get around, no matter whereabouts you live in Wimbledon Town, as there is always access to public transport, shops and services.

However cosy and aesthetic the houses may look, they are also quite expensive. Atop Wimbledon Hill in particular, which as stated earlier is more of a refuge for millionaires lie some of the most expensive houses across the region. It is clear that not everyone can afford multi-million dollar housing, which is why the cottages across town provide slightly cheaper housing, although it can be rather expensive still.

What the local houses are let down by in price, they make up for it with superb location, extravagant design and incomprehensibly aesthetic gardens and yards. With such a large quantity of appealing houses scattered across Wimbledon, there is always a beautiful feel to the place. This vibe is crucial in allowing residents to feel like they are a part of an even greater community.

Although the mood of Wimbledon town is overtly casual and friendly, as stated earlier, it isn't exactly cheap. Due to the density of living, large houses are incredibly expensive for the typical homebuyer. Despite pricing specifications of around an average of at least lb500,000 and usually more, the area still dominates and flourishes with the sales of exquisite and luxurious properties.

Despite the pricing, purchasing property at Wimbledon Village should be strongly considered, as it is evidently an excellent investment in the long-term.
