Actually, ketosis is a process in which ketone compounds from body fats are oxidized under liver conversions to produce energy. This process is an opposite of glycolysis where carbohydrates, sugars, and glucose are broken down and oxidized to produce energy. It entails a series of breakdowns and metabolic conversions up to the last energy production state. This process is also attained by taking ketogenic food diet or during exposure of the body to situations like fasting. This allows for energy generation without intakes of starchy and carbohydrates foods.

This can also be achieved through the intake of the ketogenic type of dieting. This involves taking foods with low carbohydrates and a considerable amount of fats. This will reduce carbohydrate introduction and addition in the body. On the contrary, the fats taken are complemented the use of the surgery foods. This is essential in reducing blood sugar levels which comes with various advantages.

Essentially the procedure helps the body to make use of all the fats and oils and convert them into energy that helps in body functions and this cannot be achieved when you take regular carbohydrates. When you consume foods that have a high level of carbohydrates your body is conditioned to get energy sources and the unwanted components build up.

On the other hand, body proteins are left intact to carry out their respective roles. Proteins are well known to provide energy when you are in starvation.
