There have been many films released in 2013 so far but I feel like "Pacific Rim" holds great potential when it comes to being named the best of the year. Those who have seen the film understand just how large it truly seems. There's a theme of monsters versus machines that is apparent throughout the course of the movie but there are many other aspects that can be seen, too. Amongst all of these, though, can debt collection services find themselves as such an element, too?
"Pacific Rim" is home to a number of elements and that of risk, at least in my mind, stands out in the greatest of ways possible. The reason that I say this is because even though the Jaegers are tremendous strides in the way of technology, they aren't the strongest. This is especially true when the Kaijus, gigantic monsters originating from the Pacific Ocean, are immensely strong. The humans are viewed as the underdogs, which is rather effective in a film that has so much tension.
The element of teamwork was another that was made clear within the movie, especially when it came to the Jaegers themselves. For those who don't know, these are gigantic humanoid robots piloted by two people, so it's clear that working together has to be done. However, with the mental links formed, the pilots in question have to work together that much more or else they won't be able to properly operate the Jaegers. Unity is, to say the least, vital when it comes to this matter.
Debt collection services might not have had a role in the film but you have to wonder whether or not they can actually come into play. After some assessment, I feel as though agencies like Rapid Recovery can actually prove to be quite fitting. The film itself takes place in the year of 2020 and the initial attempts of linking minds within the Jaeger were negative, to say the least. With vision problems, amongst others, such links did not exactly prove themselves successful when starting out.
"Pacific Rim" has the distinct honor of being the first movie in quite some time that has been able to capture my imagination. I feel as though many elements were responsible for this, though the aforementioned idea of risk was what kept my attention more than anything else. I would have deemed this film boring if there was always a sense of hope throughout. The humans struggling, and eventually seizing victory, makes the movie that much more engaging and one that is more than worth seeing.
