Superman & The Subject Of Debt Collection Services

By Rob Sutter

"Man of Steel" has recently come out in theaters and I felt like it was only appropriate to talk about the superhero we all know about. Superman is not the kind of hero that I can say I'm a fan of but I understand his role in pop culture. He's iconic, without question, and I know that he's done a great deal in having more heroes come down the pipeline. That being said, is it possible that debt collection services can be talked about in conjunction with this hero?

As far as "ideal superheroes" are concerned, I think you can connect such a character to the one faster than a speeding bullet rather well. I don't think that there are many who can claim that they rarely fall, which is different compared to the characterization of heroes we see today. Take Batman, for instance, who always seems to have his back against the wall despite the fact that he can handle himself when it comes down to fisticuffs. Superman is able to fight well, too, but very rarely did I feel like he was in over his head.

From a personal standpoint, it is tough to get behind Superman at times. I hate to continue referring to Batman but even Bruce Wayne was someone who was easier to empathize with because there were times when he was in trouble. In fact, he spent most of the movies struggling, even when the odds were in his favor. Superman is more difficult to connect with but does that mean I'm against every aspect of him? I'd be lying if I said that his personality wouldn't work in some ways.

I don't think many will argue against the idea of Superman being an upstanding personality. He is a professional through and through, which makes you think about how well he would be able to operate in certain businesses. Under the guise of Clark Kent, I actually think that he could do nicely in the realm of debt collection services. An agency along the lines of Rapid Recovery may be able to make use of someone whose personality will not waiver, at least not for very long.

Superman is a difficult character to grasp as far as personality is concerned. This doesn't mean that I don't see his value, though, especially when you think about the number of heroic personalities that have come and gone while he has remained solid. His presence has not waned much, if at all, which speaks volumes about him. What I would like, though, is for Superman to have more opportunities to tinker with the character to see what kinds of alterations can work the best in the long run.
