Residential Developing Pioneering Technological Advances From Mr. Karatz

By Valery Pangilinan

There are many things Bruce Karatz has done to change homebuilding for the better. But he's also done his fair share of philanthropic work as well. Though he's most known for the revolution he started at KB Home. Taking them from a mere home builder, and turning them into a massive corporate giant.

In the 1970s, KB was a much different company without rebuilding Camp Hollywoodland. They focused on the architecture side of things. Relying on their unique homes to drum up interest. While this did work to a certain degree, it didn't really take them to the next level as builders.

That's where http://www.spokeo.com/Bruce+Karatz+1 changed things around. He changed them into a construction provider that works for everybody. Now they're the custom home builders, working with everybody who wants to build a home.

These saw the company change from profits in the hundreds of millions, to the billions. More than 20 times what they were earning before he had stepped in. That took them all the way to success on the NYSE.

The new style meant more customers were interested in the company. They opened the door to new buyers, and ensured that all of them had the opportunity to buy the homes that they wanted.

The new market of home buyers was eating up this new strategy. Everybody wanted to buy their own home, and was interested in different ways that they could save money, as well as support the local economy.

But Bruce Karatz also needs to be commended for his time after the CEO stint. He's done nothing but charitable work since. Focusing his efforts on helping his communities, instead of just building homes.

Well Bruce picked charitable work. He's worked with literally hundreds of charities. Everything from raising money for those in need, to helping build homes after crises like Hurricane Katrina.
