Accounts Receivable Collection & How McMahon Could Profit

By Rob Sutter

In order to succeed in any kind of business, I believe that persistency should come before just about anything else. You need to have this will to trump everyone else in the business and show that you're the best for the job. When it comes to professional wrestling, Vince McMahon might just be the strongest in this line of work. He's done well in an industry while others have fallen and it's because of this that I believe McMahon could do well in terms of accounts receivable collection.

One has to understand why McMahon has been as strong as he has in the world of professional wrestling for the last several decades. In the 90's, especially, competition was fierce and each company wanted to beat the other out in terms of production value, exposure, talent, and aspects of that nature. McMahon's life in the world of wrestling was shaky at times, but he's managed to persevere and World Wrestling Entertainment is all the better for it. McMahon's attitude has much to do with it.

McMahon was most certainly aggressive when it came to looking at talent and hiring them from the competition. One such example is Chris Jericho, one of my most favored athletes in the world of wrestling. The problem is that he was regarded as a joke in World Championship Wrestling, never truly being treated like a legitimate contender. McMahon changed that and gave Jericho what was, in essence, a hero's welcome and it translated into a stronger career down the road for the Winnipeg native.

Wouldn't McMahon's attitude work well in the realm of accounts receivable collection? The truth is that he's been able to do business in such a powerful way that there aren't many people who can match McMahon in the wrestling world, if anyone at all. Even if there are smaller promoters who may even understand the spectacle better, to some degree, it's not like they have the scope to do business at large. Because of McMahon's business mindset, he'd do well in a company like R-R-S.

McMahon is someone who's strong when it comes to professional wrestling and who can say they're at his level today? Even though there may be companies which perform the actual wrestling better, the truth is that McMahon's level of scope exceeds just about everyone else's. Accounts receivable collection would be more or less the same for him, since he's worked so well to make the wrestling world stand out. Success, in my mind, seems to be inevitable for the man who managed to bring down his competition.
