Searching For A 2nd House?

If you're at that stage in your own life when you're presently considering another abode or vacation house the Oregon coast may be the great area. There is nothing quite like it.

Nestled between chilly Washington and sunny California is the rocky and delightful coast of the state of Oregon. Featured in many movies and particularly its renowned landmark , Haystack rock, the Oregon coast is full of Sea lion caves, beachcombing opportunities, beautiful views, rock ledges, and crashing ocean waves.

The Oregon coast is a bit quieter than California but not as cool as Washington. Based on the time of year the waves can be bigger and give a stunning seaside view. There are lots of hotels and resorts speckled over the Oregon coast but if you're taking into consideration staying here this is an excellent area for a second house or a permanent vacation destination.

The Oregon coast region has several wonderful locations from Astoria to Brookings on the California border. Right in the center is the stunning town of Florence.

The Pacific coast Highway (101) goes along the Oregon coast from the tip of Washington all the way down to southern California. Along this stretch of popular highway are little villages and towns offering nice little attractions and eye-catching activities.

A few of those activities involve stunning golf courses and outrageous Sand Dune drives. Close to Florence Oregon are the well-known Sand dunes and you can rent a Dune buggy or quad anytime year-round .

If you're looking for something a bit more low-key , be a tourist for the day and appreciate all the stunning stores and fantastic restaurants in Newport and Lincoln beach. Cannon Beach and Seaside offer a good location for any second-home or condominium. The renowned Haystack rock is also located in Cannon Beach.

While there are lots of chances for tourist along the Oregon coast, the naturist is also pleased with the wealth of area and national parking facilties. The Siuslaw National Forest is one of the biggest national forests in Oregon and encompasses more than 630,000 acres.

It's located just east of Yachats and Florence. If you are looking to beach comb or to have pictures of lovely lighthouses, Heceta Beach is a good location.
