We Are Thinking About Moving in One or Two Years

By Laura Hawn

We are thinking of moving in a couple of years. My wife and I are very bored with our situation. It feels like we have both been out of work for two years. We have found non permanent jobs, though we are continually being fired from them. We did attend a four-year college and we do have our Bachelor's degrees.

Sadly, there aren't many jobs, and there are many overqualified folk like us. This is something we are getting tired of dealing with. We'd like to find a state where we will both find a job that we're going to have forever, and will not need to fret about losing it. Because of losing our jobs, we have not been able to pay back our student loans.

They are all now in the deferment. That is the reason why it is vital for us to go to another state where there are plenty of jobs. I do realize that most states are having the same problems, but there are a few that are not as bad.

We have already started putting our stuff in local NYC mini storage units; we never know whether we are going to find a job or not, which explains why we are slowly moving our things to this unit. We have spent time applying for jobs in several states, so we are keeping our options open.

This has been a horrible time for us, because we expected to be in a better fiscal position because we went to college. We would really love to have children, but I do not want to right now due to the shortage of cash we have. My mother would like us to have youngsters, so she has slowly been collecting children's attire. She has placed them in a local storage NYC unit for when we do decide to have children.
