Why Invest In The Stock Market

By Timmy Morre

It is common wisdom to invest into the stock market for the long term. But why is this? What are the benefits of investing into the stock market? Why not just forget about it and start spending your money today instead of waiting for your future?

There are actually a lot of reasons to invest your money into stocks, but here are just a few big ones.

1. Income

Some companies offer dividend paying stocks which are stocks that will pay you a small amount of money every month or quarter. After many years of saving and growing your money it can turn into a pretty nice income stream.

Dividends don't really make you a lot of money unless you already have a lot of money to invest into it. So it is really a secondary goal. The real goal of stock market investing is to grow your money through appreciation.

2. Appreciation

The stock market goes up an average of 10% a year. This doesn't sound like much, but if you hold onto stocks for the long term it can turn a little bit of money into a lot of money really fast due to the fact that it is getting compounded each and every month.

Of course, you can always take the time to learn about the stock market and learn how to beat the average return and that would give you an even better approach. There is really no limit to how fast you can make money in the stock market which makes it one of the best places to invest for growth.

3. Rich People Invest

Self made millionaires and billionaires do know a little bit about money and how to make it. Well one of the places that the rich tend to invest is in the stock market. A large percentage of the wealthy in the world invest their money into stocks.

Most of the rich people on the planet agree that the stock market offers a simply wonderful wealth building experience. If you want to figure out where to invest your money and how to get yourself ahead financially you can always look at what the people who are already successful in those areas have done.
