Find Some Vero Beach Real Estate Today

By Chandra Moscovite

Florida, known as the Sunshine State, is a special area within the contiguous United States in that it offers a slice of tropical living, metropolitan sophistication, and a milieu of cultural influences. Other than Orlando and it's bevy of theme parks, most non-locals only know about the Miami and Key West areas when it comes to places to live. There are, however, many beach towns that have a lower cost of living, but provide a great standard of living and Vero Beach real estate combines the laid back attitude of a coastal town with proximity to more bustling cities.

Nestled within the centrally located, coastal county of Indian River, the city abuts the Atlantic Ocean and has a smaller population. Under 20,000 people, there is a real sense of community here that prizes being generous with one of the highest rates of volunteering and charity work in the nation.

There is no small town mentality here, however, and instead this is a real community that is committed to creating a cohesive population. Local governments have committed to this ideal and have stopped the construction of any high rise hotels or huge commercial centers that are common in thousands of cities all over the country.

Being able to go to the beach at all times, along with canals filled with creatures like the gentle manatee, this is truly a paradise. The city itself is separated into a main land, as well as ocean inlet which is connected by bridge.

This is truly a warm and connected town that families thrive in and which your children can grow up surrounded by values that will shape their future development in a fortunate way. The geography itself is a playground for the young and old alike with a mainland and ocean inlet connected by a bridge, which creates a marina with extremely calm waters.

Choosing to look for property here means making the conscious choice to look for more than just a beautiful place to live. A community with shared value and commitment to doing right by society is an anomaly and one that makes residents here feel lucky to be a part of.
