Be part of the neighborhood of the Pleasant Hill.

By Betty Davenport

Bonnie Brae real estate area is found on the southeast area of Denver City. Its name literally means "Pleasant Hill" and it the place does take its name. The winding street covering the community is decorated with beautiful matured trees and people here are very friendly and welcoming. It was developed by George Olinger in the 1940s to 1950s who made quite a lot of architectural contributions in the area including those big stone pillars you can see as you enter the neighborhood.

The residential homes in Bonnie Brae range from the 1940's themed Art Moderne houses to many multi-million dollar residences custom built by their home owners. However, many of the original houses still remain. The prices here are quite strong and competitive thus making this small neighborhood very desirable to many people. Aside from that, it is also very near downtown Denver which is just fifteen minutes away while recreational areas like Washington Park is only a few minutes away by bike. This neighborhood also has plenty of restaurants and stores to go through.

For those who will transfer in this quaint neighborhood, they hold an annual picnic to gather the community together and just be one big family. This where they socialize and make new friends and get to enjoy everyone's company. The dedicated members of the council are always finding ways to make their community better and happy.

With the coming of the new millennia, Bonnie Brae has been going through a scrapping scheme. The old and broken down Bonnie Brae homes for sale are being replaced by the more modern houses which are made to attract modern urbanites. However, for those who want to experience the nostalgia of the 40s and 50s, those Art Moderne houses are still around. All these houses can be rented or bought.

Although just recently, the Bonnie Brae real estate market is having some declines in sales and rents, there are still some competitive edge to the houses prices in the neighborhood. So just call your Bonnie Brae real estate agent and find out more about the wonderful living conditions in this quaint little town.

Bonnie Brae real estate area is still considered by many residents as one of Denver's finest communities to live in. Prices may have suffered over the years but the investment here is still worth it especially with the people you meet here.
