Getting Company Cars For Employees Brings Success

By Gnifrus Urquart

There are many advantages to getting company cars for employees. Here is a list of some ways this can benefit both, the employer and the employee. Most of the employees issued these type of vehicles are salesman or those who require a lot of traveling for the job.

This could be a benefit for an employer when it has a GPS monitor installed in the vehicle. Without the GPS it can be difficult to supervise an employee when they are driving to different job site. For example salesman, need to be looking for possible leads. Instead of doing that, they may be parked at a store shopping. A GPS in the business vehicle, allows an employer to keep an eye for that kind of thing.

A business vehicle is also a benefit for the business owner when tax season comes around. Providing business vehicles allows the business owner to deduct any expenses of the car, including insurance, repair costs on their taxes. The employer, of course will have to keep receipts of all these expenses in order to be able to deduct them.

A business vehicle can also be used by the employer as an incentive in order to find the best candidates for the position. Aside from being an incentive it can also help when it comes to the employee retention of the business. It is easier for a person without these type of perks to walk away from the position. A person who is issued out a company vehicle will stick consider staying with the position longer, because of the vehicle.

Aside from the employer benefiting from issuing a vehicle to its staff, the employee also benefits from this. This is especially true when the employee is allowed to use it for personal use. That means that while they use the vehicle for work during business hours, they can also use it after business hours, to do personal things, such as shopping. If the employee plans to have a long term position, then they could sell the personal vehicle he was using.

Most people struggle to find transportation to work, once their vehicle starts having problems. With a business vehicle the employee does not have to worry about getting it fixed. The business owner will usually get the vehicle fixed and issue out a rental car until it is ready. The business also covers the gas expense that is used for the work place. The only time the employee has to pay for the gas is when they are using it for personal use.

These are some benefits that come from getting company cars for employees. Both the employer and the employee will benefit from having a business car issued out. A person receiving a business vehicle, however needs to have a clean driving record. If the clean driving record changes after the point of hire, and employee may lose their job.
