I personally spent years trying to learn how to find deals and I know very few people who is as good as me. I worked for a group of investors finding deals for them. To hit my quota I had to find 10 deals every month that fit their specific criteria.
Once I got really good, I thought that I could go out on my own and start making all the money on the deals just like the investors were making instead of a chump change bird dog fee.
Boy, was I wrong. I learned real quick that the real skill was in selling a deal, not finding it. I nearly went broke because I could not find buyers for my deals no matter how good they were.
It was not until I went crazy and became a buyer finding nut ball that the things changed. Every morning waking up I was saying to myself: How can I find more buyers? I posted this all around my house so that it was on my mind all the time.
When I finally did that, I became very good at finding buyers. Once I had the buyers everything changed. Money started flowing faster than I ever imagined.
Well, if you want to make big money in Real Estate, first learn how to find the buyers, and then learn how to find the deals.
In other words, learn real estate investing backwards, and you will be better than 99% of all the other investors out there.
