Is Debt Consolidation Worth The Effort?

By Zulika van Heerden

Debt consolidation is surely out of the question when living such a busy life, since it includes a ton of paperwork, confirmation of employment and credit checks, or is it?

We don't want to complicate our lives more than it already is, but this need not be. If you make use of a debt consolidator they will do most of the work with little effort from your side.

Even by doing the debt consolidation yourself, you will see that the benefits of consolidating your bills are much more that the negatives or the effort you have to put in

Here are some of the advantages

Payments are much easier to keep track of

Instead of making several payments each month to different lenders, you only have to make a single payment. This will make your debts more manageable and keeping track of payments will not be difficult.

Interest is Lower

Credit card debt and other loans are high interest debt, but when you consolidate your debt your savings would be substantial. The reason for this is that consolidation loans are secured loans and as a result you will pay a much lower rate of interest than normal.

Across the board savings

Besides, the savings associated with paying a lower interest rate you will also be saving on all your monthly charges for all your different accounts, since you will only have to pay fees on your consolidation loan.

Bankruptcy now has an alternative.

By doing debt consolidation, you don't have to be stressed related to bankruptcy, which will also fatally harm your credit record.
